Netflix Thriller ‘Hold Tight’ First Trailer Released
Magdalena Boczarska and Leszek Lichota will play the main roles in the Polish original, the second adaptation of a Harlan Coben book, and will appear as a happily married couple named Anna and Michał Barczyk. Their son Adam will be played by Krzysztof Oleksyn.
The focus of the story will be the suburbs of Warsaw and the close-knit residents living an idyllic life. All hell breaks loose when eighteen-year-old Adam disappears. Then, violence escalates as parents try to protect their teenage children who take matters into their own hands. Both Agnieszka Grochowska and Grzegorz Damięcki, known for Harlan Coben’s Polish adaptation of The Woods, will also take part in the project.
The series will also feature Jacek Poniedziałek, Justyna Wasilewska, Wiktoria Gorodeckaja and Bartłomiej Topa. It’s a stylish first look video that doesn’t contain any dialogue but gets creepier and more mysterious as you play. In Warsaw, where locals live a quiet life with close relationships, an affluent housing estate and its residents’ lives change when 18-year-old Adam disappears without a trace. The danger is escalating rapidly, and worried parents are doing everything they can to protect their child, who, on the verge of adulthood, has decided to take matters into their own hands.
Hold Tight, originally known as Zachowaj Spokój in Polish, features episodes directed by Polish filmmakers Michal Gazda (“Belle Epoque”, “Druga szansa”, “Odwróceni. Ojcowie i córki”) and Bartosz Konopka (director). Written by Agata Malesinska and Wojciech Miloszewski, the series based on Harlan Coben’s novel will air in 2022, but the exact date has yet to be announced.
