The streaming service Netflix announced today knownannounced that the new original anime »Exception« will be available worldwide on demand starting October 13, 2022. You can see the first trailer below.
Anime is made by Bakken Record and 5 Inc.
»Exception« is being produced at Bakken Record and 5 Inc. Studios and directed by Yuuzou Satou (»Muteking the Dancing Hero«). Otsuichi (»Summer Ghost«) is penning the script, while original character design is by Yoshitaka Amano (»Vampire Hunter D«) is created.
Ryuichi Sakamoto, who is known for his work on titles such as »Royal Space Force: Wings of Honnêamise« and »Japan Sinkt: 2020«, is responsible for the composition of the music. You can find the Japanese voice cast below the video.
Netflix announced the original anime along with the two titles »Bright: Samurai Soul« and »Make My Day« as part of »Geeked Week« in June 2021.

Plot:
In the distant future, mankind was expelled from Earth and forced to relocate to another galaxy. Members of an exploration team are sent out to search for a suitable planet for terraforming.
The crew is created using a biological 3D printer, but a system malfunction results in crew member Lewis emerging in a deformed state.
As Lewis turns against his fellow combatants, a countdown to the end of the mission begins in the ship’s frightening darkness.
