Season 3 of Narcos Mexico will be the last. Netflix has unveiled the date and a trailer for the final round of episodes of the Guadalajara cartel-centric Narcos spinoff series.
The cartel saga will end on Netflix. Narcos Mexico season 3 will be the last according to The Hollywood Reporter. The platform unveiled the trailer for this final round of episodes, for which the co-creator Carlo Bernard will officiate as showrunner in place of Eric Newman, occupied by several projects with Netflix.
Wagner Moura, unforgettable Pablo Escobar in Narcos, joins the list of directors for this third season of 10 episdes, which will be available on November 5 on the platform. Another major change: it is a woman who will be the narrator of this season 3!
This is Andrea Nuñez, an ambitious and idealistic young journalist whose mission to expose corruption brings her an even bigger story than she expected. She is played by Luisa Rubino and takes over from former narrators Boyd Holbrook, Pedro Pascal and Scoot MacNairy.
The latter will be back to play the DEA agent Walt Breslin with José María Yázpik (Amado Carillo Fuentes), Alfonso Dosal (Benjamín Arellano Félix), Mayra Hermosillo (Enedina Arellano Felix), Matt Letscher (James Kuykendall), Manuel Masalva (Ramón Arellano Félix), Alejandro Edda (Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán), and Gorka Lasaosa (Héctor Palma).
The third and final season of Narcos Mexico takes place in the 1990s, when the globalization of the drug trade ignites and a cartel war breaks out after the arrest of Félix Gallardo, camped by Diego Luna, who will not be not present in these final episodes.
