Ridley Scott’s next film, “Napoleon”, has started filming in England, and Joaquin Phoenix has been spotted in the clothes of the famous French Emperor. And we have to admit that the imperial costume suits him perfectly!

Ridley Scott’s movie Napoleonformerly titled kit bag has entered filming in the UK, and the first images of its lead actor Joaquin Phoenix were revealed by the Daily Mail. Currently, in Greenwich, south-east London, the actor from Joker and the director of The Last Duel launched this film which will be a romantic drama with the background of the great military campaigns led by Napoleon Bonaparte.
Napoleon will thus focus on the relationship of the first Emperor of the French and his wife Josephine de Beauharnais. A famous relationship, marked by passion and adultery. It is Vanessa Kirby who will play the empress, and as recently revealed the French Tahar Rahim will also be there.
Is Joaquin Phoenix is perfect in the role?
A priori, choose a foreign and English-speaking actor to embody one of the greatest figures in the history of France has everything from the puzzle project. But Joaquin Phoenix is one of the most talented actors of his generation, as he has proven time and time again. Moreover, he was already an emperor for Ridley Scott since he revealed himself to the whole world on the occasion of Gladiatorin which he played Commodus.
