“Severance” has been renewed for a second season by Apple TV Plus. In this workplace thriller from Ben Stiller, Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries whose employees go through the severance procedure and surgically divide their memories between their work and private lives.
This daring experiment in ‘work-life balance’ comes into question as Mark finds himself at the center of an unraveling mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his work and himself.
Along with Scott, “Severance” stars Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, and Michael Chernus, and Christopher Walken. Apple TV Plus’ second season renewal for “Severance” comes just before the show’s first season finale, which will air on Friday. The episode, titled “We We Are,” will see the team discover disturbing statements, according to the broadcaster.
“Severance” was created by Dan Erickson, Nicky Weinstock, and Jackie Cohn, who served as showrunners and executive producers with Stiller, alongside Mark Friedman, Chris Black, John Cameron, and Andrew Colville. “It’s really exciting to see the response and the level of fan engagement from people who love the show.
