Muriel Robin embodies a woman devoted to the artists she welcomes to her large property in “En corps”. On the occasion of the release of Cédric Klapisch’s new film, we had the chance to talk with the actress about her deeply endearing character, as well as her career.
In body: rebirth through dance
After viticulture with What binds us, Cédric Klapisch devotes his new film to dance. Worn by Marion Barbeau, here in her first film role, In body tells the story of Élise, a ballerina injured on stage following a sentimental disillusionment. The young woman is then advised to give up her passion to avoid serious physical consequences.



To take stock of her life and recharge her batteries, Élise decides to go green by following Sabrina (Souheila Yacoub) and Loïc (Pio Marmaï), a couple who temporarily settle in Brittany to cook on Josiane’s property. (Muriel Robin). The latter welcomes many artists in its large residence. It thus offers them a wide field of expression to create and train.
It was in this warm setting that Élise met the choreographer Hofesh Shechter and his troupe. Watching them work, the heroine will gradually overcome her doubts and fears, to get back to dancing.
Meeting with Muriel Robin
After several dramatic television roles especially in Jacqueline Sauvage: it was him or me and the miniseries, My angel, Muriel Robin is therefore making her return to the cinema. With the spontaneous, benevolent, and deeply touching character of Josiane, the actress finds a lighter register. For the release of Cédric Klapisch’s feature film, we had the chance to chat with the actress.



From the gift of making people laugh to her influence in the humorous landscape, through her need to alternate between comic projects and other more serious ones, Muriel Robin confided in her career, her desires for the future, and her biggest fear on stage. She also spoke about her commonalities with her character in In body, starting with the energy and cheekiness that she and Josiane share.
