Expected for March 9 at the cinema, Murder Party stages Alice Pol in an Agatha Christie-style police investigation. But who killed Eddy Mitchell?
Nicolas Pleskof’s first feature film, Murder Party presents Jeanne Chardon-Spitzer, played by Alice Pol. She is a brilliant architect who is entrusted with the rehabilitation of the sumptuous manor of the Daguerres, a strange family at the head of a board game empire.
When Caesar, the patriarch, played by Eddy Mitchell, is found murdered in the middle of the Murder Party, Jeanne is drawn into a life-size investigation game to unmask the murderer.
The first images of this detective comedy are reminiscent of a sort of mix between Rian Johnson’s Knives Out and Agatha Christie’s They Were 10, all sprinkled with the wacky and colorful side of Wes Anderson’s films.
Alice Pol is surrounded by a cast of choice with Eddy Mitchell, Miou-Miou, Pablo Pauly, Gustave Kervern, Pascale Arbillot, Zabou Breitman and Sarah Stern. But who killed the patriarch of the Daguerre family? Answer on March 9 at the cinema!
