Big success of 2019 on Netflix, the police comedy with Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler will be entitled to a sequel which has just filled up with actors, including a French star and a former La Casa de Papel.

Scott Yamano/Netflix

After Dany Boon in the first episode, Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler will star Mélanie Laurent in Murder Mystery 2. in Inglourious Basterds or more recently 6 Underground, already for Netflix – has indeed just been announced for the casting of this sequel currently being filmed in Hawaii according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Released on Netflix in 2019, the first Murder Mystery had met with great success as soon as it was put online, even offering a record to the platform. At the time, the film had become the most viewed in a weekend thanks to the 30.9 million households that had taken to the game of this whodunit.

No wonder then that a second episode has been ordered with again a large cast made up of faces known and less known to the public, surrounding the two American stars of the first opus who should once again find themselves at the heart of a far-fetched investigation.

An XXL cast

Besides the Caesarized Frenchwoman, Mark Strong (Kingsman), Jodie Turner-Smith (Queen & Slim), Kuhoo Verma (The Big Sick), Tony Goldwyn (Scandal), Annie Mumolo (Angie Tribeca), Zurin Villanueva (Detroit) and Enrique Arce , the interpreter of Arturo in another Netflix hit, La Casa de Papel, answered the call of director Jeremy Garelick.

Already on the poster for the first film, Adeel Akhtar and John Kani will once again be there. Less good news for fans: no release date on Netflix has yet been announced.
