Guerrilla listened to player feedback. We learn that Horizon Forbidden West is deploying its patch one 1.11 which makes legendary weapons powerful again.
There’s something new for Horizon Forbidden West. The PlayStation exclusive released in February continues to improve with every update. Today, the game is rolling out its 1.10 and 1.11 patches.
Legendary weapons become powerful again
Two patches for the price of one. Horizon Forbidden West goes to 1.11 through an update combined with version 1.10 of the game. Good news, it is available now on PS5 and PS4. As always, these updates focus on fixing bugs, especially around a handful of main and side quests. A few activities, especially some rebel camps where objectives could not be completed, have also been fixed.
Nevertheless, we will remember above all from this patch a correction concerning legendary weapons. In a previous update, Guerrilla Games had nerfed the arsenal deemed too powerful, to the point that the recurve bows hit harder than the loot ultimate. Following player complaints, the studio made some fixes and rebalanced weapon effectiveness to find a happy medium.
What are the next improvements to Horizon Forbidden West?
A few changes have also been made to the interface. For example, it is possible to hide action and quest markers in the custom HUD settings. Graphical improvements are obviously there, with better rendering of vegetation and adjustments for dynamic resolution. The Dutch studio is not resting on its laurels and has already announced that it is working on future patches.
In his sights, a bug that prevents some players from unlocking the “All types of improved bags” trophy and another that prevents trading with Abadund after completing his quest. The studio is also working on correctly displaying all newcomers with the dedicated (!) icon in the inventory and allowing a custom marker to be placed within a radius of less than 500 meters from Aloy’s position. But for that, you will have to wait until the next Horizon Forbidden West update.
