Since the start of the week in “Plus belle la vie”, Mouss has been the new CPE at Vincent Scotto high school. But is it plausible that this young man without any training can occupy this position?
For almost 3 years now, Mouss has been bringing his joy and good humor to the inhabitants of the Mistral. From his first appearance in Plus belle la vie in 2019, this character played by Boubacar Kabo immediately attracted the sympathy of viewers of the soap opera thanks to his touching story.
And once installed at the Mistral, the young man had decided to change careers to become a supervisor at Vincent Scotto high school. Very quickly, Mouss had excelled in his work and had managed to create a strong relationship with the students, which was not necessarily always to everyone’s taste.
But with the hasty departure of Léandri, the school’s new CPE who arrived last October, he was offered the post left vacant by Rochat. After several weeks of reflection, Mouss finally decided to accept this position during the episodes broadcast this week on France 3.
If the fans are delighted with its promotion, they however did not fail to notice that it is rather unrealistic. Indeed, several conditions must be met to be able to occupy the position of CPE. First of all, you must have a Master’s degree in the field of education. Once the diploma is in hand, the future CPE must then pass a competition whose success rate is less than 5% (there are many candidates for very few positions).
However, there are two exceptions to the competition for people who do not have a Bac+5: being a parent of at least three children or being a high-level athlete. Conditions that Mouss therefore does not meet, unless the screenwriters have hidden part of his past from us…
On twitter, Internet users have noted that this is not the first time that such a career change without any specific diploma has taken place in Plus belle la vie. We still remember Nathan Leserman, who became an English teacher after spending a long time in the United States, or Léa Nebout, who became a cardiac surgeon at the age of 23 (a course normally lasting 11 year).
It remains to be seen whether Mouss will pass the competition in the coming months in order to regularize his situation or whether the screenwriters of Plus belle la vie will prefer to ignore it, for the good of their intrigues.
One thing is certain, the former supervisor seems to be the perfect candidate for this position which requires organization, rigour, firmness but also and above all a sense of dialogue and relationship in order to help students and teachers when needed. Qualities possessed by Mouss, who proved during his first days in office that Rochat was not mistaken in choosing him.
