Postponed a year and a half because of the health crisis, Morbius will finally land on January 19 in theaters. Did director Daniel Espinosa reveal a major cameo during an interview?
WARNING ! This article reveals a potentially major cameo from the movie Morbius. If you don’t want to know anything about the feature film before the release, go your way.
It was expected on August 5, 2020, Morbius will finally be released on January 19, 2022! With such a significant amount of time between the end of filming and the film’s availability in theaters, it was obvious that revelations would point their noses.
It was not lacking with the director himself, Daniel Espinosa. Asked by the Swedish media Moviezine, the filmmaker indulged in a few small confidences.
“When you look at the schedule and read names like Michael Keaton, Jared Leto or Tom Hardy, you tell yourself it’s so cool and very exciting.”, confides the director, evoking his experience on a Hollywood shoot of great magnitude.
When you look at the schedule and read names like Michael Keaton, Jared Leto or Tom Hardy, you tell yourself it’s so cool and very exciting.
If we already knew that Michael Keaton would return in the role of the Vulture, held in Spider-Man Homecoming, we were not aware that Tom Hardy would come and say hi in Venom. The latter will be back in theaters on October 21 in the sequel to the blockbuster released in 2018.
So it makes sense that his Eddie Brock character would make an appearance in Morbius alongside Jared leto. The director did not give more details but it is very likely that Tom Hardy will only make a furtive appearance, or even a small cameo.
As a reminder, the story will follow the character of Dr. Michael Morbius, played by Jared Leto. Seriously suffering from a rare blood disease, and determined to save all the victims of this pathology, the doctor takes a desperate bet. But what at first glance seems successful quickly turns out to be a potentially more serious cure than the disease.
