After the animated series, Miraculous is coming to the cinema! This film, which will return to the meeting between Ladybug and Cat Noir, will be released on July 5, 2023. And a first teaser has been unveiled. Check it out above.
Miraculous: from the series to the film
Impossible to miss the phenomenon Miraculous ! Since 2015, the French-Korean-Japanese animated series has been broadcast around the world. It tells the adventures of Marinette and Adrien, two 14-year-old schoolboys living in Paris. At the slightest danger, they turn into superheroes. The first becomes Ladybug, and the second Cat Noir. Together, they have a duty to protect Paris from the terrible akumas. Indeed, these evil butterflies have the power to transform Parisians into supervillains.
If Marinette and Adrien have the ability to transform into Ladybug and Cat Noir, it’s because they are in possession of the famous miraculous, mysterious jewels that give great powers to their master. Sacred jewels that their enemy, Le Papillon, tries to recover by all means.
Although they are accomplices in their adventures against Le Papillon, Ladybug and Cat Noir are unaware of their true identities.. They don’t know that they are actually classmates. Above all, Marinette is unaware that behind Chat Noir hides Adrien, with whom she is in love. And Adrien, who has a crush on Ladybug, doesn’t know it’s Marinette.
While Season 5 of the series is currently airing, the adventures of Ladybug and Cat Noir will be exported to the big screen ! Miraculous the movie is indeed expected in theaters on July 5, 2023. This is the first time the series has been adapted for film. This is a prequel that will return to the meeting between the two superheroes. According to the first images, we will also discover how the two teenagers found themselves in possession of the miraculous. The feature film is directed by Jeremy Zag, the producer of the series.
