There have already been leaps in time between the previous episodes of “Game Of Thrones: House Of The Dragon”, but the biggest is yet to come: Ten years have passed between Episode 5 and Episode 6. So when next Monday 26th September 2022 episode 6 of “House Of The Dragon” is released we will have to get used to a lot of new faces.
Because the leap in time is of course also accompanied by the fact that the characters, who were previously children, adolescents or young adults, are now significantly older. And that means: New actors slip into the roles. It’s a bit sad, because Milly Alcock and Emily Carey in the female lead roles as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Queen Alicent have delivered fantastic performances.
To make it a little easier for us (and for you) to say goodbye, Milly Alcok posted a series of funny and heartwarming photos on Instagram, recorded during filming. Addressing her colleagues and fans, she wrote: “I love you all I love you I love this!”
However, there is still a tiny glimmer of hope for fans of the young stars: Alicent actress Emily Carey confirmed that she (and this almost certainly applies to Milly Alcock too) after episode 5 of the “House Of The Dragon” season 1. But she herself has hopes that they might bring her back for season 2 flashbacks, she revealed to E! News – so far, however, that is just wishful thinking, she hasn’t heard anything yet.
From episode 6, Emma D’Arcy takes on the role of Crown Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Olivia Cooke slips into the role of Alicent. And it’s not the only new faces to get used to – after all, other characters have aged too, like Rhaenyra’s husband Laenor Velaryon, who is now played by John Macmillan. You can get an impression of the new “House Of The Dragon” stars here:
And the changes will continue: Because the children of Rhaenyra, Alicent, Daemon (Matt Smith) and Co. will grow in the coming episodes and then be played by new actors…
Season 1 of House Of The Dragon consists of ten episodes. Episode 6 will be released on Sky and WOW (formerly Sky Ticket) on September 26, 2022 in the early hours of the morning. If you want to recap the events of episode 5, then take a look at our analysis video:
