After the Silent Hill 2 Remake, could Konami announce Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake this year? A new clue would in any case prove its existence.
A back-to-back announcement of Silent Hill 2 Remake and Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, some are no doubt dreaming about it and maybe it will happen.
Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake, a rumor that is getting stronger
For the moment, the rumors stipulating that Konami is ready to relaunch cult franchises seem rather solid, as often with our colleagues from VGC at the origin of these rumors. But today, we are interested in another emblematic series, MGS, with Metal Gear Solid 3 Remake. Because without wanting it, a developer could have confirmed the project (yes, again).
In video from the Virtous Montreal studio where the developers talk about their experience, a sequence with the concept artist Louis-Alex Boismenu was particularly talked about. And for good reason, on the right side of the screen, behind his graphics tablet, we can very clearly see the big pad The Art of Metal Gear Solid I-IV. This index would confirm that the studio is indeed behind the project and that it would scrupulously scrutinize the artworks of Yoji Shinkawa.
The return of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater would be done well in the form of a remake with a “AAA level artistic production”. The game would arrive on several platforms, which we imagine to be the PS5, the Xbox Series X|S and the PC, and would be 4K compatible. Last technical detail, the title would have destructible environments.
Now the question is whether Konami will make an announcement in 2022, for example at The Game Awards, or whether the publisher will prefer to wait until next year.
