Meryl Streep, Kit Harington and other prestigious names will find themselves at the helm of the cast of an anthology series commissioned by Apple TV + on climate change.
Apple TV + offers all-star cast for anthology series on climate change, says The Hollywood Reporter. Meryl Streep, Kit Harington and Matthew Rhys have been announced to hold the top bill of the Extrapolations series, an eight-part drama created by screenwriter Scott Z. Burns, who had signed the premonitory screenplay for Contagion.
The rest of the cast is just as impressive since we can see Sienna Miller, Gemma Chan, Tahar Rahim, Daveed Diggs, David Schwimmer and Adarsh Gourav, discovered at the beginning of the year in The White Tiger.
Currently in production, Extrapolations will tell interconnected stories of how upcoming climate change will affect love, faith, work and family.
“The only thing we are sure of for the future is that we are all going there together – and we take with us our hopes, our fears, our tastes, our creativity, our capacity for love and our predilection to chat. pain“said Scott Z. Burns.
“These are the same tools that authors have used since the dawn of time. Our series just uses them to keep time from running out.“
The role will mark Meryl Streep’s return to television since Big Little Lies, but it is still being kept under wraps. Sienna Miller will play a marine biologist, Kit Harington will be the CEO of an industry giant, Tahar Rahim will suffer from memory loss.
As for Matthew Rhys, he will play a real estate developer, Daveed Diggs will play a rabbi in South Florida, Gemma Chan will go from her role of Eternal to that of a single mother and banker in microfinance. David Schwimmer will play the father of a teenage girl and Adarsh Gourav a driver looking for a job.
