Kevin Hart plays a stay-at-home dad who finally gets some time for himself in “Me Time: Alone at Last.” It was without counting on his old friend Mark Wahlberg, who takes him into a big mess…
Me Time, Finally Alone : No rest for the wicked
After An outstanding dad, Reality in front and The Man from TorontoKevin Hart is back on Netflix with Me Time: Finally only. A comedy in which he lends his features to Sonny Fisher, a stay-at-home dad who gives his all, being 200% involved in her children’s school activities. Sonny is so into it that when his girlfriend Maya (Regina Hall) takes their kids on vacation, he finds he hasn’t been alone in ages.

Finally able to enjoy time for himself, Sonny receives a call from his oldest friend Huck (Mark Wahlberg) an inveterate party animal. For his 44th birthday, the latter organized his own version of Burning Man in the Californian desert and obviously offers him to come. Reluctant to let go, Sonny agrees to go anyway and is not at the end of his surprises.
Between a confrontation with a puma, the kidnapping of a turtle as well as a confrontation with a threatening businessman who wants to recover a large sum of money, the stay promises to be eventful. But for his childhood friend, Sonny agrees to push back all the limits.
To continue in the bromance…
Kevin Hart and Mark Wahlberg are both specialists in comedies centered on tumultuous friendships. The first gave the reply to a bear cub played by Seth MacFarlane in Ted and its sequel, two stoner movies rejoicing which offered much more offbeat and less conventional scenes that Me Time: Finally Alone, which is content to line up falsely crazy adventures to remind the spectator installed in his sofa that there is nothing better than a tidy family life. He also managed to form unexpected friendships with Will Ferrell in Very Bad Cops and Very Bad Dads, when the situation had started very badly for them.
As for Kevin Hart, he’s been living for years a bromance iconic with Dwayne Johnsonhis partner in Almost secret agents, Jumanji : Welcome to the jungle, Jumanji : Next Level and Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw. Director John Hamburg has also already distinguished himself in this register with I Love You, Man, in which a lonely Paul Rudd searches for a best man for his marriage to Rashida Jones and manages to let loose when he meets the very laid-back Jason Segel. And for amateurs who wish to continue in this register, you should obviously not miss the essentials Wayne’s World, Brothers in spite of themselves, SuperGrave, Funny People as well as Edgar Wright’s Cornetto trilogy.
Me Time: Finally Alone is available on Netflix.
