An already impressive career for McKenna Grace
Despite her young age, the actress McKenna Grace has an impressive filmography. Many will surely have discovered it in 2017 with Mary by Marc Webb. Then eleven years old when the film was released, she gave the reply Chris Evans who played his uncle. But before that, the actress had already toured in a good number of films and series (she is Caroline young in Vampire diaries).
In the following years, McKenna Grace was directed by major filmmakers like Craig Gillespie for Me Tonyaand Steven Spielberg for a short appearance in Ready Player One. She also knew the big productions by being chosen to embody Carol Danvers young in Captain Marvel (2019)before being one of the main roles of Ghostbusters: The Legacy (2021), while participating in horror productions Annabel 3 (2019) and Malignant (2021). All this at not even 16 years old!
And since 2021, McKenna Grace is also in the cast of The Handmaid’s Tale: The Scarlet Handmaidenafter a first appearance in episode 1 of season 4 in the role ofEsther Keyes. It was precisely on the occasion of the current broadcast of season 5 on Hulu in the United States (OCS for France) that the actress spoke about a particular event in her life: his spine surgery.
The actress opens up about her surgery
Via his account instagramshe published a video montage with pictures of her in the hospital and explained that a month ago she had this back operation which “literally changed (his) life“. But nothing dramatic in her message, on the contrary, it is with a certain amusement that she notes that the date of her operation coincided with the day she appeared on television in a hospital bed. It was in episode 6 of season 5 of The Handmaid’s Tale (aired on October 12 in the United States), and we saw her about to undergo a hysterectomy.
It’s been a month since my spine surgeon Dr. Skaggs literally changed my life. Once in a while life imitates art and the night my episode of Handmaid’s Tale where I’m in a hospital bed came out I was actually in a real hospital bed at the time .
McKenna Grace did not given the reasons for his operation, preferring to remain, for the moment, reserved about this part of her life. She also states that social networks usually only show “the good sides of life“. In any case, we can only rejoice that the actress is in good health and can continue her career.
