In “Babylon” by Damien Chazelle, Margot Robbie once again shares the screen with Brad Pitt. And she decided not to miss her chance and improvise a kiss with the star actor.
2023: the year of Margot Robbie
In 2013, Australian actress Margot Robbie burst onto the screen alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in the film The wolf of Wall Street by Martin Scorsese in which she plays a supporting role. Since then, she has become an actress unavoidable at Hollywood.
In recent years, she has performed Harley Quinn in the DC Extended Universe or even Sharon Tate in Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood by Quentin Tarantino.

The year 2023 should be that of the consecration since it will be on the poster of three highly anticipated feature films : Barbie by Greta Gerwig Asteroid City by Wes Anderson and Babylon by Damien Chazelle. In the latter, she will once again be surrounded by Brad Pitt.
Babylon : this kiss that was not planned
After shooting with him in Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, Margot Robbie finds Brad Pitt in Babylon. The film is set in the 1920s Los Angeles. It chronicles the rise and fall of different characters during the creation of Hollywood. Robbie plays young actress Nellie LaRoy, while Pitt plays superstar Jack Conrad.
During filming, the actress nominated for the Oscar for best actress for her role in Me Tonya said she improvised a kiss with her on-screen partner:
It wasn’t in the script. But I thought, “When will I get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt again? I’m going for it”
she said at the microphone of E!News.
To achieve her goals, she had to convince director Damien Chazelle, who saw clearly in her game:
I said to Damien “I think Nellie could kiss Jack” and Damien was like “yes she could…but wait, you just want to kiss Brad Pitt.” I told him “sue me, this opportunity may never come again”. He told me “it works for the character” and I replied “yes I agree.”
After the first take, Damien Chazelle even asked them to start over. Margot Robbie obviously declared that she was “very happy” and that the kiss was “awesome”.
See you in theaters on January 18, 2023 to see the result.
