The new Warner boss David Zaslav made it clear when he took office that he wanted to see DC’s most popular hero, alongside Batman, on screen as soon as possible, but such things take some time. Led by veteran producer Charles Roven (“Justice League”), someone needs to be found to develop and write the screenplay.
For this purpose, only a wish list of possible authors has currently been created internally. Among other things, Christopher McQuarrie stands on this. At the Hollywood reporters but one is skeptical as to whether an offer will go out to the action specialists at all. After all, Warner knows that it will be busy with “Mission: Impossible 7” and “Mission: Impossible 8” for some time, which stands in the way of a quick implementation. With his commitments to the Netflix series “The Witcher’ and some film projects he will be available for cameo shoots in the near future.
