Expected for 2022, the series of 4 episodes “Oussekine” will retrace the death of the student Malik Oussekine, which occurred on December 6, 1986, and the fight of his family for justice. A French Disney + creation. Check out the trailer.
This December 6, 2021 marks the 35th anniversary of the death of Malik Oussekine, a 22-year-old student killed by three police officers on the night of December 5 to 6, 1986. Disney + has just unveiled the first trailer for the miniseries inspired by the tragedy. The project, composed of 4 episodes of 60 minutes, can surprise as its dramatic dimension is so far removed from the other productions of the platform.
In the title role, it is the actor Sayyid El Alami, who appeared in the film Zombi Child by Bertrand Bonello and the series Messiah on Netflix, who has the heavy task of playing the student. In the secondary roles, Kad Merad will play the lawyer of the Oussekine family, Maître Georges Kiejman and Laurent Stocker of the Comédie-Française (Goodbye idiots, A French affair) will play his partner, Master Dartevelle. Olivier Gourmet will be Robert Pandraud, former Minister of Security.
On the side of the Oussekine family, the role of mother will be attributed to Hiam Abbass (The Swallows of Kabul, Succession) and that of the father to Slimane Dazi (a prophet, The Legends Office). The brothers, Ben Amar and Mohamed, will be played by Malek Lamraoui (The Legends Office) and Tewfik Jallab (Gears). Sisters Fatna and Sarah will be played by Naidra Ayadi (Stillwater, Polishes) and Mouna Soualem (Munich, You deserve a love). Mathieu Demy, Thierry Godard and Gilles Cohen will complete the cast.
Created and produced by Antoine Chevrollier, the mini-series Oussekine will be available on Disney + in 2022.
