Currently playing “Benedetta”, in competition in Cannes at the beginning of July, Virginie Efira will soon be in the credits of “Madeleine Collins”, a thriller by Antoine Barraud, in which she leads a double life. Check out the trailer.

Judith leads a double life between Switzerland and France. On the one hand Abdel, with whom she is raising a little girl, on the other Melvil, with whom she has two older boys. Little by little, this fragile balance made up of lies, secrets and back and forth cracks dangerously. Trapped, Judith chooses the headlong rush, the vertiginous climb.

Here is the pitch of Madeleine Collins, a new film brought by Virginie Efira, which will be released on December 29, 2021, and will be presented in September at the Venice Film Festival, in the parallel section Giornate degli Autori. Virginie Efira will also be one of the members of the jury for the official competition of the Mostra, with Bong Joon-ho as president.

Check out the Madeleine Collins trailer.

Madeleine Collins is the third feature film by screenwriter and director Antoine Barraud, who previously directed Les Gouffres (2014) and Le Dos rouge (2015). The cast of Madeleine Collins brings together, around Virginie Efira, Bruno Salomone, Quim Gutiérrez, Jacqueline Bisset or even Thomas Gioria (revealed by Custody and Adoration).

Before Madeleine Collins, Virginie Efira will also be starring in Guillaume Canet’s new production, Lui, which will be released on October 27, 2021. We will see her later in Waiting for Bojangles by Régis Roinsard, Les enfants des autres by Rebecca Zlotowski and Don Juan by Serge Bozon.
