New face of the sixth and final season of Lucifer, Brianna Hildebrand has let it be known that she is ready for her character Rory, the daughter of Morningstar and Chloe, to be the heroine of a spin-off of the Netflix series.
The sixth and final season of Lucifer has welcomed a big newcomer: Rory, the girl from the future of Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and Chloe (Lauren German)! His appearance in the final episodes of the series on Netflix is important for the future of the couple Lucifer and Chloe who must assume their responsibilities and separate to better meet again later.
Already known for her roles in Deadpool 1 and 2 and the Trinkets series, Brianna Hildebrand slipped into Rory’s shoes with great trepidation as she wanted to live up to the role, as she told TheWrap :
“It was stressful for me. I had a lot of meetings with coshowrunner Joe Henderson, the directors, mostly because of dealing with COVID. […] Everyone was lovely but there was some pressure because we were all masked during rehearsals. So it was a real challenge to find the right game. But it was a fun challenge. “
If the rebellious side of Rory brought a touch of humor, the young woman also brought emotion, in particular in the final farewell scene in which Lucifer and Chloe understand why the Lord of the Underworld abandoned his beloved and her daughter :
“It’s a very beautiful thing for Rory to say that she loves herself for who she is. But also to tell Chloe and Lucifer that she wants nothing to change. It was a sad moment for us to go through. and to repeat. […] It made me sad and it was a complicated filming day. But it was almost symbolic. She’s at peace with Lucifer’s leaving, she forgives him and I think it’s important for the story and it was very beautiful. “
A spin-off on Rory?
Even if Lucifer is well and truly over, the hugely popular series is still very much in the hearts of fans. If Netflix wants to perpetuate the universe of the Lord of the Underworld, perhaps the platform could consider a spin-off on Rory. In any case, Brianna Hildebrand is starting:
“I hadn’t thought about it but it would be huge. I’m totally into it. I loved playing Lucifer’s daughter. It was really awesome.”
With Rory coming from the future, not much is known about her life until we find Lucifer and Chloe in the past before she was born. But a potential spin-off on this character could also focus on the aftermath to make the Lord of the Underworld and the police inspector appear in the series.
