On the official Youtube channel of “Love Live!« franchise became today announcedthat a spin-off anime is currently in the »Love Live! Sunshine!!, titled Genjitsu no Yohane: Sunshine in the Mirror, is in the works. You can see a first teaser below.
Anime focuses on Yohane
The series »Genjitsu no Yohane: Sunshine in the Mirror« is being directed by Asami Nakatani (Unit Director on »The House of the Lost on the Cape«) at Studio SUNRISE. Toshiya Ono (»86 EIGHTY-SIX«) is writing the screenplay, while Yumiko Yamamoto (»Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya«) is providing character design and Tatsuya Kato (»Love Live! Sunshine!!«) composed the music.
The anime introduces the character Yohane, who as in »Love Live! Sunshine!!« is again spoken by Aika Kobayashi. All other voice actors from the main series are also involved in the spin-off. A date for the broadcast in Japan has not yet been set.
»Love Live! Sunshine!!« consists of two seasons that aired on Japanese television between July 2016 and December 2017 and a film to conclude the series. In Germany, the first season is available on DVD and Blu-ray from KAZÉ Anime.

Yoshiko Tsushima (Yohane), the school idol suffering from chuunibyou, becomes a magical girl.
The story takes place in Numazu, a picturesque port town surrounded by sea and mountains. Ever since she was little, Yohane has never belonged and always felt excluded from everyone else in town. Their longings and their true place in this world lie elsewhere.
The story follows this girl, who can’t follow the rules, on her journey into the mysterious world.
