With The Innocent, Louis Garrel passes for the fourth time behind the camera (for a feature film) after The two friends (2015), The Faithful Man (2018) and The crusade (2021). The opportunity for him to remind, once again, that he is not just a romantic actor but is well able to make people laugh.
