Amazon and Smilegate are working to fight bots Lost Ark without ruining the experience of honest users. Thus, the studio will begin a new series of bans and warn players in advance of potential disruptions and what to do if their accounts are accidentally affected.
Large-scale operation in Lost Ark
The studio recognizes that it is sometimes essential to cast a wide net and strike harder on a larger scale. This wave of bans could mess up the game data somewhat:
You should expect larger fluctuations in the number of concurrent users playing at Lost Arkparticularly at the level of queues
Players may even have their accounts accidentally banned, but if this happens, support will be notified and will be able to roll back, on a case-by-case basis. For the moment we do not have details on how the bans work but no doubt that the Smilegate studio will keep the community informed in due course, as was the case before.
A real plague
While there are no details yet, it looks like similar to past bot banning actions, the team will eventually update some information on what has been done, as well as how. players could be affected.
We know that the bot issue is an ongoing problem for players and there is still work to be done. Our teams at Amazon Games and Smilegate RPG continue to work on a variety of tools and options to rid Arkesia of bots on a larger scale. We’ve shared information about some of these efforts in the past and will provide additional details on future plans when we can. Until then, we appreciate your patience.
