As “The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring” airs tonight on TMC, take a look back at a hidden detail about Gandalf’s staff that you may never have noticed before.
Airing tonight on TMC, The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, the first installment in the legendary trilogy directed by Peter Jackson, marks the beginning of an epic journey through Middle-earth.
During this dangerous journey undertaken by the hobbit Frodo to destroy the One Ring in the flames of Mordor, the Community that accompanies him has an exceptional guide: the magician Gandalf, whose ancestral walking stick is used. also to lift curses, break evil spells and unlock age-old elven portals.
An accessory with multiple powers from which Gandalf never separates, even when he allows himself a short stop alongside his friend Bilbo, to smoke his precious pipe weed. And for good reason ! As we can see by observing the magician’s staff a little more closely on certain shots of the film, the latter has a secret location.
At its top, between two ramifications of the wood, there is indeed a crevice which allows Gandalf to store his pipe, and to have it at hand as soon as he wishes to make a few rings of smoke. In short, the magician’s staff is therefore a real Swiss army knife with multiple functions, an ideal travel accessory for the man nicknamed the Gray Pilgrim, and who has been walking the paths of Middle-earth for many centuries.
