Lollipop Chainsaw Remake: Suda51’s game back in 2023, the first images

It is done ! Yoshimi Yasuda, CEO of Dragami Games, has officially announced his plans for Lollipop Chainsaw. The studio is playing it safe with a remake.

Lollipop Chainsaw Remake announced for 2023

Yoshimi Yasuda, producer on Lollipop Chainsaw, really cares about the game and therefore made sure to buy the rights from Kadokawa Games. The goal ? Give the opportunity to people who want to play it on current consoles, the latter being only accessible from a PS3 or Xbox 360.

Unfortunately, there are a variety of reasons why fans can no longer easily play the title, and it’s been a while since gamers have been able to access it on current consoles. We, the original development team of the title, believe that the game is very valuable to usand we didn’t want it to sit in limbo where players who want to play it can’t. In doing so, we purchased the intellectual property from Kadokawa Games, and decided to develop a remake. We have already contacted Warner Broswhich was the publisher of the game outside of Asia, and they support us in this project.

First look at Lollipop Chainsaw Remake announced by Dragami Games.

Lollipop Chainsaw Remake will have a more realistic approach in its graphics, obviously keeping its cel-shading.

Almost a new soundtrack

If the music of the game still resounds from your head, forget them partly because as explained by Yoshimi Yasuda, some will be deleted for a question of rights.

The original game’s soundtrack featured 15 licensed songs, but unfortunately it’s difficult for us to fit them all into the remake. Therefore, apart from a few licensed titles, the soundtrack will revolve around new music.

Lollipop Chainsaw Remake will be available in 2023 on consoles (PS5, Xbox Series…) and surely PC.
