While Alain Delon will have his star on the famous Hollywood Boulevard next year, focus on the other French film stars who have received the prestigious distinction.
Next March, shortly before the Oscars ceremony, Alain Delon will get his star on the famous Hollywood Boulevard. A prestigious distinction in the form of a consecration to which more than 2,600 entertainment personalities have been entitled since 1956, including twenty stars from France. Among the latter, a majority is linked to the seventh art.
The actors Charles Boyer, Maurice Chevalier, Louis Jourdan and Charles Aznavour, latest in 2017, were thus honored on the Walk of Fame. As for French actresses, the legendary star was placed on the asphalt to celebrate the careers of Sarah Bernhardt, Claudette Colbert, Leslie Caron, Renée Adorée, Michele Morgan and Andrea King.

Hollywood Boulevard also celebrates directors. Logic, then, that the brothers Auguste and Louis Lumière, inventors of the seventh art were honored. Other French filmmakers present on the famous Los Angeles macadam: Jean Renoir, Maurice Tourneur and George Fitzmaurice.
Finally, we will note the star awarded to the great composer Maurice Jarre. The father of Jean-Michel Jarre, loyal collaborator of David Lean, notably won the Oscar for Doctor Zhivago, Lawrence of Arabia and The Road to India.
