The broadcast of “Lies” ends tonight on TF1 with the last two episodes. Like “Liar”, the British thriller of which it is the adaptation, will the series with Audrey Fleurot and Arnaud Ducret be entitled to a season 2?
Lies, the back-to-school thriller of TF1 adapted from the British drama Liar: the night of lies, ends this evening at the end of a finale rich in suspense and twists.
Broadcast since Thursday, September 2 on the front page, the series carried by Audrey Fleurot and Arnaud Ducret, tells the story of Jeanne, a newly separated teacher who accepts an appointment with Thomas, a renowned surgeon who works with her sister. The evening goes well but, the next day, Jeanne accuses Thomas of having raped her. While Thomas, he claims his innocence. Who is lying? Who is telling the truth?

While episode 3 of Lies, broadcast last week, ended up revealing to viewers that Thomas was indeed guilty, the finale offered tonight on TF1 staged a final face to face between Jeanne, the victim, and her rapist.
Helped by Lucas (Jean-Stan du Pac), the son of Thomas, Jeanne managed to prove the responsibility of the surgeon in many other rapes, including that of his lawyer Vanessa Comolet (Anne Azoulay). But, wanted by the police, Thomas could not be found. Until the last shot of the first season of Mensonges shows us his lifeless body on the shores of the Côte Vermeille.
Does this end of the season serve as a final conclusion to the plot of Lies, or is a season 2 possible on TF1? Across the Channel, Liar, whose season 1 ends in exactly the same way, experienced a second batch of episodes following the police investigation to discover the identity of Andrew’s (Ioan Gruffudd) killer. , the British counterpart of the character played by Arnaud Ducret in the French remake.

It is therefore entirely possible that a season 2 of Mensonges will soon see the light of day in France, especially since the series has achieved very good audience scores on TF1 over the past two weeks, with 5.56 million viewers for its launch on September 2 and 5.36 million followers in week 2 watching episodes 3 and 4.
And if the channel has not yet decided on the renewal, or not, of Lies, Audrey Fleurot recently revealed to Le Figaro that season 2 was on track and that she was obviously up for playing her role as Jeanne. a second time.
“It seems to be off to a good start. The idea would be to explore the dark side of my character. That would plug me in, because she’s not that innocent.”.
In the meantime, fans of Audrey Fleurot will soon be able to find her in the historic mini-series of TF1 Les Combattantes, in which she will find her ex-partners of the Bazar de la charité Camille Lou and Julie de Bona, and in season 2 of HPI, which is set to go on filming in October.
