TF1 is continuing this evening the broadcast of “Mensonges”, its back-to-school event series. A thriller carried by Audrey Fleurot, Arnaud Ducret, and Alice David which was shot in the Pyrénées-Orientales between November 2020 and February 2021.
After the phenomenal success of HPI last spring, TF1 viewers can now find Audrey Fleurot every Thursday evening in Mensonges, a new event series in which the former star of Engrenages and Kaamelott notably gives the answer to Arnaud Ducret, Alice David, Amaury de Crayencour, Olivia Côte, Lionnel Astier, and the young Jean-Stan du Pac.
Adapted from the British series Liar: la nuit du mensonge, and already available in full on Salto, Mensonges tells the story of Thomas, a renowned surgeon who decides one day to offer Jeanne an appointment. , a newly single teacher and sister of one of her colleagues.
The evening seems to be going wonderfully. But, in the early morning, Jeanne accuses Thomas of having raped her. Surprised by these accusations, the doctor proclaims his innocence. Then begins a face-to-face meeting where neither of the two seems ready to let go. Who is lying? Who is telling the truth? This is the whole point of the Lies scenario, episodes 3 and 4 of which will be offered this evening from 9:05 pm on TF1.
The filming of the series, which ran from November 9, 2020 to February 19, 2021, took place in the Pyrénées-Orientales, in particular in Collioure, which serves as the main setting for the plot, and in Port-Vendres.
The opportunity for directors Lionel Bailliu and Stéphanie Murat to offer us magnificent shots of the Occitanie region. As in the final, broadcast next week on TF1, which will take us high, in the mountains, for a decisive sequence.
For its start on Thursday, September 2 on TF1, Mensonges gathered 5.56 million viewers on average, for a market share of 28.2% on the priority commercial target of women responsible for purchases under 50 years. A very nice launch which only asks to be confirmed this evening.
