After The Tuches 4 released last winter, Olivier Baroux returns this summer as a director. And not in just any place. It is in the south-east of France, between Nice and its surroundings, that he is shooting this new feature film entitled Liar. A comedy in the same mood as his old feature films. In addition to directing, the specialist in French comedies is in charge of the script with Emile Gaudreault.
The pitch?
Jerome is a compulsive liar. His family and friends can no longer stand his daily lies. They do everything to change his attitude. Not listening to what is being reproached to him, Jérôme sinks deeper and deeper into lies until the day when a divine curse strikes him: all his lies come to life. Then begins for him a real nightmare.
For the main role, the director calls on Tarek Boudali. The French actor knows the register of French comedies well. He made it his specialty, 30 days max at Marry me buddy for which he also officiates as a director. And more recently Despite himself superheroesdirected by his friend Philippe Lacheau.
A promising cast
In the casting, we also find Artus who multiplies the roles in the cinema. Currently showing at I love what you dothe actor earns his stripes after his remarkable performance in The Office of Legends. The native of Yvelines turns to more humorous roles. In June, in Tastes and colorshe will have a few minutes on screen for a supporting role.
Olivier Baroux also trusts Louise Coldefy, she who revealed herself in Family Business. Pauline Clément, as well as Bertrand Usclat are also in the game.
In view of the first images of Liar, the feature film promises to be a film full of surprises, in search of the craziest gags. It is to be discovered in theaters July 13, 2022.
