A feature film directed by Tom Shadyac (Almighty Bruce) where he lends his features to Fletcher Reede, a lawyer who spends his time lying and deceiving those around him, which has cost him his marriage.
On his birthday, after yet another broken promise, his son Max (Justin Cooper) makes a wish and asks him to stop lying for a day. Very quickly, Fletcher realizes devastated that he can only tell the truth.
