LG unveils its very first OLED monitor, all in … 240 Hz

If you have a hefty wallet then LG has got you covered with its first ever OLED monitor. The news.

Her name ? The 27GR95QE. Behind this succession of numbers and letters hides the very first OLED monitor from LG. A first which is also found in its refresh rate since this screen still offers 240 Hz.

LG wants to delight

This new screen offers a size of 26.5 inches with a WQHD definition or 2560 x 1440 px. It’s certainly not 4K, but 1440p is still something very decent to play quietly in 2022. Its viewing angles are 178° and its response time is only 0.03 ms. Impressive. LG is aiming for the high end with this screen and therefore offers all the technologies to improve fluidity and prevent image tearing, namely NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium. For pure image beauty, the monitor boasts HDR10 and a contrast ratio of 1500000:1.

The connection includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, a DisplayPort and an S/PDIF output. In fact it’s almost flawless and the only blocking element will be the price since it will still cost $999.99. Deliveries are expected for January, and the price in euros is still unknown.
