Five years after “La Folle Histoire de Max et Léon”, the Palmashow is preparing its return to cinema with “Les Vedettes”. See you at the cinema on February 16 for a dive into the world of game shows, of which the trailer gives us a glimpse.

There was La Folle Histoire de Max et Léon. Now it’s time for the funny adventure of Daniel and Stéphane, alias Les Vedettes. Five years after the success of its first feature film (1,228,382 admissions in 2016), the Palmashow returns to the cinema and abandons World War II for the ruthless world of game shows, as the trailer shows us.
When we met them at the end of 2020 to talk about Mandibles by Quentin Dupieux, Grégoire Ludig and David Marsais teased Les Vedettes like this: “This is the first time that we are in opposition. Our duo are not friends.” And it is felt in these images while the two heroes, employees of a household appliance store, are brought to participate in a game which is reminiscent of “The right price”.
Between this game and the clip of which we can see a few images, we find the DNA of the sketches of Palmashow and their director Jonathan Barré, back behind the camera, in this trailer unveiled just two months after the theatrical release. des Vedettes, on February 16.
A comedy that promises us gags, parodies, a few whims, a dive into the backdrop of the world of television, song. And, perhaps, one of the hits of 2022, if we have as much in mind as the excerpts that we hear in this trailer.
