After “The Mad story of Max and Leon”, Grégoire Ludig and David Marsais will be back in their next film “Les Vedettes” directed by Jonathan Barré. The film begins to unfold with a first image posted by the director.
The Palmashow, sketches in the cinema
The Palmashow, it is first and foremost a duo of comedians composed of Grégoire Ludig and David Marsais. Together they launch The Mad Story of Palmashow in 20210 on Direct 8, then Very Bad Jokes in 2011 before proposing Palmashow, the show on Canal + in 2013. A series of crazy sketches that quickly become cult, in particular thanks to their availability on Youtube. Their success grew and in 2016 they attacked the cinema with The Mad story of Max and Leon directed by Jonathan Barré. A film for which they sign the screenplay and in which they play the two main roles. Before that, they had been content with appearances, as in Baby sitting in 2014.
After putting himself at the service of Quentin Dupieux for his Mandibles, the duo are back with a new project. Still directed by Jonathan Barré, their new movie will be The stars.
First look for The stars
In The stars, we will follow Daniel, a failed singer who loses his home and his job in an appliance store. He will meet Stéphane, a colleague who knows by heart the price of all the devices on the shelves. Daniel then decides to use it to participate in the game show “Price at any price” and thus win 100,000 euros. Two opposing characters that we can discover in a first image. It is the director Jonathan Barré who shared this first shot on his Twitter account.
A very simple image that doesn’t say much about what the movie will be like. It nevertheless allows us to reassure us about the progress of the project. The stars could be shot at the end of 2020 and was even due out this year. But the Covid-19 pandemic has forced a postponement and we should not discover this new Palmashow adventure before 2022. The film is currently dated February 9.
