France’s craziest family, the Tuches, will they meet Les Bodins in an unlikely crossover? Olivier Baroux brings up the subject.
What if the Tuche family met the Bodins at the cinema? This is the question we asked the director Olivier Baroux, fan of the comic duo formed by Vincent Dubois and Jean-Christian Fraiscinet. The latter are currently triumphing in theaters with Les Bodin’s in Thailand. The comedy has already drawn 1.2 million viewers since its release on November 17.
As for Tuche 4, it gathered around 200,000 people for its first day of operation on December 8. In all, the saga has conquered 11.7 million followers. Given that Bodin’s and Tuche are very popular, especially in the provinces and rural areas, could a crossover one day be possible?
“I really like Les Bodins. I think it’s a great troupe. I had seen their first show which took place in a farmyard. I found it very poetic, very well done, very funny. But we don’t can’t consider a crossover “, says the filmmaker.
“They have their universe, we have ours, I don’t see how we can mix them”, he adds. “I think it cancels out when we do that”, specifies Jean-Paul Rouve.
“At one point, we talked about a crossover with Franck Dubosc and Camping. It’s funny but I think if we put these two universes together, it doesn’t work. It’s like when you do Batman who meets Superman , it doesn’t work. Something’s wrong. It’s two worlds with their own codes, whether it’s the way of filming, the colors, the sets, the characters … it doesn’t work. of them”, analyzes the actor.
“The artistic direction is different, it’s very complicated to mix the two. We are not the Avengers”, concludes Olivier Baroux with mischief.
