The Spanish series “La Casa de Papel” will be entitled to its Korean remake. Netflix unveiled the first images of this version with a teaser that presents the new Professor and his team.

Money Heist has its korean remake

It’s not just Americans producing remakes. Sometimes other countries get involved too. What is rarer (but not impossible) is that a platform offers a remake of one of its programs. However, this will be the case with Money Heist. The Spanish series available from 2017 on netflix, quickly entered popular culture. An impressive success for the show which was followed for several years until December 2021 when the last episodes were broadcast. With the series now over, that doesn’t mean the concept is going away. A Korean remake was ordered in 2020 and a first teaser comes to be unveiled by Netflix.

In these images, we discover Yoo Ji-tae who will take charge to interpret the Professor. It is he who, in the Spanish version, imagines a perfect plan. Infiltrate a team in the National Currency and Stamp Factory in order to print 2.4 billion euros. We see him here thinking about his plan, before turning to a wall where are hung several masks, including that of Dali, which became the symbol of Money Heist. Although there are masks around that tend more towards Asian culture, it is towards this that the Professor’s hand reaches out. There should therefore be no change at this level in the Korean remake.

In the cast of the Netflix series

In addition to Yoo Ji-tae, we will find in particular Jeong Jong Seo, which was discovered in burning, then in the thriller The Call available on netflix. The actress will have the difficult task of succeeding Úrsula Corberó in the role of Tokyo, one of the most popular characters in the series. Nairobi will be played by Jang Yoon-ju, Berlin by Park Hae-soo (Squid Game), and Inspector Raquel Murillo will become in this version Seon Woo-jin played by Kim Yun-jin. The characters and their performers are introduced in the second part of the teaser. Regarding the broadcast date, it will be necessary for the moment to be satisfied with a “soon”.
