Discover the first images of King, a family feature film telling us about the adventures of two teenagers who want to save a cute lion cub!
King tells the story of a lion cub destined for trafficking. The animal escapes from the airport and takes refuge in the house of Inès, 12 years old and Alex, 15. The brother and sister then have the crazy idea of bringing him home, in Africa. But tracking down customs officials does not make their lives easier. When Max, their whimsical grandfather whom they have only seen twice in their life, joins the adventure, anything becomes possible …
Inès is played by Lou Lambrecht, already seen in the series Papa ou Maman or the film Just Kids. His brother, Alex, is camped by Léo Lorléac’h (Sam, Quadras, Alex Hugo). The two teenagers give the answer to a veteran of French cinema, Gérard Darmon. The actor slips into the costume of Grandpa Max, a man as zany as he is benevolent.
Note that King is directed by David Moreau, known for the comedy 20 years apart with Virginie Efira and Pierre Niney. This feature film is in line with animal family films that we see a lot in cinema at the moment.
One can in particular quote Clifford, released on December 1st, featuring a big mischievous red dog. On December 15, the public will also be able to discover Mystère, a story of friendship between a wolf pup and a little girl. On October 13, we also marveled at The Wolf and the Lion, not to mention the recent The Call of the Forest with Harrison Ford and Omar Sy.
King will land in theaters on February 16, 2022.
