"Kaiju No. 8« gets an anime adaptation + teaser

On the official Twitter account of the manga series »Kaiju No. 8« became today announcedthat this will get an anime adaptation. You can see a first teaser video further down in this article.

Details are still pending

Specific details about the anime adaptation, such as the format (TV series, film, special, other) or those involved in the production, are not yet known. A start or release date is still pending at the current time. As usual, we will keep you up to date.

The original manga series was penned by Naoya Matsumoto (“Pochi Kuro”) and has been published in the online magazine “Shounen Jump+” since July 2020. So far the work consists of seven volumes.

In Germany, the publisher Crunchyroll Manga (formerly KAZÉ Manga) has licensed »Kaiju No. 8« and will publish the first volume on November 3, 2022 with a German translation. The other volumes are published every two months.

Plot:

With the highest kaiju spawning rate in the world, Japan is already used to being attacked by deadly monsters. To combat these creatures, there is the Japan Defense Force, a military organization tasked with neutralizing kaiju.

Kafka Hibino, who purges the Kaiju Corps, always dreamed of joining the force. But when he gets another chance to pursue his dream, he undergoes an unexpected change. How can he fight the kaiju when he’s become one himself?!
