Bad Candy is a horror anthology storyline set in the small US town of New Salem. Halloween is obviously taken very seriously by the residents here. It all starts with local radio station (Station 66,6!) DJ Chilly Billy (Corey Taylor) and his producer Paul (Zach Galligan) bringing their listeners a whole host of particularly spooky holiday stories each year.
In one of them, the duo tells the story of a dealer (Ryan Kiser) who is desperate to attract new customers at a rock concert. Another episode is about a teenage girl who finally finds a way to stand up to her abusive stepfather. And then we’re fed the strange story of a rideshare driver (Kenneth Trujillo). He insists on driving his passengers around town disguised as vampires on Halloween night. But is he really just in costume?
Following a string of performances at genre festivals in North America and the UK “Bad Candy” will be released in Germany on October 28, 2022 on Blu-ray and DVD:

Bad Candy is being directed by Scott B. Hansen (The Exorcism of Tracy Crowell) and Desiree Connell (The Virginia Bitches), who are both scriptwriters.
The most prominent name in the cast is undoubtedly von Corey Taylor. After all, this front man is from two of the world’s most successful heavy metal and alternative rock bands, which have sold millions of albums for years: Slipknot and Stone Sour. In “Bad Candy” Taylor plays the radio DJ who connects the various short stories and, as expected, is featured prominently in the trailer above.
Starring alongside Taylor is Zach Galligan – best known to this day for his performances as Billy Peltzer on the cult comedy-horror hits Gremlins 1+2. In the animated series “Gremlins: Secrets Of The Mogwai”, which is planned for 2023, he is supposed to revive his old role as a voice artist in the English-language original.
