Jon Hamm feels a bit neglected in a recent Apple TV+ commercial. The Mad Men star is seen relaxing at home and browsing among the streaming platform’s star-studded productions in a face-to-face ad that was shared on social media on Friday before it aired on television over the weekend.
In doing so, the actor realizes that he is looking at it from the outside as an actor, as he indulges a variety of top artists with his Apple TV+ projects, a list that does not include him. Hamm looks into the camera, “Hey Apple, did I do something to offend you? I mean, Samuel L. Jackson, Billie Eilish, Tom Holland, Chris Evans… How about Jon Hamm?” says.
In the ad, Hamm, who starred in Paramount’s highly anticipated and multiple-delayed Top Gun: Maverick, tries to fill the gap in his resume by leaving a voicemail to Tom Hanks, who had worked with the company on Greyhound in 2020 and Finch in 2021. Hamm is showing his face again to his fans with this hilarious commercial.
As for the Apple TV+ participation of other actors, Jackson starred in the 2020 movie The Banker, and The Last Days of Ptolemy Gray are on the way. Holland appeared on Cherry and will soon be seen on The Crowded Room. Eilish was featured in Billie Eilish: The World’s A Little Blurry as the focus of the documentary, and Evans already has a large fan base with Emmy-nominated Defending Jacob.
