Joker 2: Margot Robbie's reaction to Lady Gaga in Harley Quinn

During an interview, Margot Robbie who was Harley Quinn in three DC films (Suicide Squad, Birds of Prey, The Suicide Squad), expressed herself without language of wood on the fact of not having been called for Joker 2: Madness for Two.

Margot Robbie’s opinion on Lady Gaga in Harley Quinn for Joker 2

Whereas Margot Robbie could have shown great disappointment not to play Harley Quinn in the film Joker 2 is just the opposite. At the microphone of MTV News, the Australian actress said she was very happy that Lady Gaga could give her version of the character. She explains that she is very satisfied to have been able to build a sufficiently solid base so that the character has the chance to exist through others like the singer Lady Gaga.

It makes me very happy because I always wanted Harley Quinn to be one of those characters, like MacBeth or Batman, who goes from being a great actor to being another great actor.. And I have the impression that it concerns few female characters. There was Queen Elizabeth 1 where I was like, ‘Wow Cate Blanchett did it, now I can do it’, but beyond that. It’s such an honor to have built a strong enough foundation that Harley can now be one of those characters that other actors can play. And i think she is going to do something amazing.

No resentment therefore to see Lady Gaga in Harley Quinn, but Margot Robbie may very well return to the role in the future. There have been many Batmans as she says…

Joker 2 will be released in theaters from October 4, 2024. It will be a somewhat special sequel since Todd Phillips, the director of the first part, will introduce musical sequences. And according to rumors, most of the feature film could take place in a totally cult location in the Batman franchise.
