Brendan Gleeson as Mad-Eye Moody in “Harry Potter”-Row
There are still no official details about the plot of the DC sequel. However, we already know that, unlike the predecessor, it will be a musical. Also, the title “Folie À Deux,” which describes a mental illness affecting two (or more) people, suggests that Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix), aka the Joker is now dragging another person into his madness. There really isn’t anyone else out there other than the as yet unknown Lady Gaga character, who we’d vouch for will be Harley Quinn or at least some twist on the legendary DC villain.
Furthermore, “Folie À Deux” has a budget of 150 million US dollars, which is almost three times the price of its predecessor (55 million). German cinema release of “Joker 2” is October 3, 2024.
