There are quite a few films shot without cuts. With such an aggressive actioner as “One Shot”, however, hardly anyone has dared to do so. The result will be in-home cinemas shortly and here is the trailer:
The hero of One Shot is Navy SEAL Lieutenant Blake Harris (Scott Adkins). He is the commander of a unit of highly trained elite soldiers requested by Major Jack Yorke (Ryan Phillippe). The men are to transfer a prisoner who is considered a potentially extremely dangerous terrorist from his US base in Eastern Europe to a secret location for further interrogation.
Allegedly, this Amin Mansur (Waleed Elgadi) has information about impending attacks on public institutions in the USA. The matter is correspondingly urgent. CIA analyst Zoe Anderson (Ashley Greene Khoury) has arrived with Harris and his people so that Mansur can be questioned during the transfer. When everything is ready to go, the military base is suddenly attacked by heavily armed fighters, who act with enormous efficiency and brutality…
In North America, “One Shot – Mission Out of Control” made its debut last fall as a video-on-demand and in various cinemas at the same time. In Germany, the title will now be released directly on Blu-ray and DVD on May 27, 2022 with FSK 16 approval. Both formats can already be pre-ordered from online retailers such as Amazon. If you don’t want to wait that long, you can buy the film digitally from May 19th and then stream it immediately:
These are the stars and makers of “One Shot”
You can’t see it in the trailer, because of course there were cuts. However, the entire film was meticulously choreographed and realized in just one uninterrupted recording of over 90 minutes. This is intended to create a direct feeling of closeness to the protagonists for the audience. Director James Nunn (“The Marine 5 & 6”) and his chief cameraman Jonathan Iles (“Hooligans 3 – Never Back Down”) came up with the very unusual type of staging for such action thrillers, because it is extremely demanding.
By far the most popular actor in the cast among Haudrauf fans is Scott Adkins. Action fans know the Brit from the MCU blockbuster “Doctor Strange”, the martial arts hit “Ip Man 4: The Finale” and of course the “Undisputed” series. Next, we can see Adkins win twice alongside fellow The Expendables Dolph Lundgren in Castle Falls (home theater May 26, 2022) and Section Eight. In 2023, he will appear alongside Keanu Reeves in the highly anticipated John Wick: Chapter 4.
Also joining One-Shot in the cast: Twilight star Ashley Greene Khoury, Ryan Phillippe of Cruel Intentions and the TV series Shooter, Terence Maynard of The Witcher, and Waleed Elgadi (” A hologram for the king”, “Mosul”).
