From there, John McTiernan’s star will shine in the Hollywood skies.
We owe him Crystal trap, Hunting for Red October, Medicine Man, Last Action Hero, A day in hell, The 13th Warrior and Thomas Crown, his latest commercial success. will follow roller ball in 2002 and Basic in 2003, for two failures in theaters.

John McTiernan is developing two projects
Guest of honor at the 2022 edition of the Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, John McTiernan revealed during a masterclass that he was working on two projects.
The first is Tau Ceti Foxtrot. A feature film presented as a film borrowing western and science fiction since, in the words of the filmmaker, it is a kind of “For a fistful of dollars on another planet“, Tau Ceti being a solar system very far from ours.
A film whose development has started for a while, since already in 2019 information was emerging about him. At the time, Uma Thurman and Travis Fimmel were attached to the project. But according to journalist Sandra Benedetti, only the actress is still there. And Travis Fimmel would be replaced by Laurence Fishburne.
Another project in development, ghost in the machinewhich in view of the visual proposed by “McT” clearly displays a vibe madmax. Still according to Sandra Benedetti, the screenplay is co-written with a French screenwriter, for a story in the genre of the paranormal thriller.
We obviously cross our fingers that these projects will be completed!
