Johnny Depp will soon be back in cinemas with the film “Jeanne du Barry”, directed by Maïwenn. A first photo of the project reveals the actor in the costume of King Louis XV.

After the long trial which pitted him against his ex-girlfriend Amber Heard, Johnny Depp can to focus on his professional life again. As rumors swirl about his return as franchise hero Jack Sparrow Pirates of the Caribbeanthe star is currently filming in that of Louis XV.
The actor will be coming soon to Joan of Barry, Maïwenn’s new film. In this project, the director and actress of polishes and DNA lends its features to the last favorite of the King of France. The feature film will tell the rise of the courtesan, guillotined in 1793 during the French Revolution.
Filming has just started and should last three months. Some scenes should take place at the Palace of Versailles.

On Twitter, the distribution company The pact unveiled a first shot to announce the start of shooting. On this photo, Johnny Depp appears in profile, blindfoldedin the skin of Louis XV.
For now, Joan of Barry does not yet have a release date. The film should anyway arrive on Netflix fifteen months after its release in dark rooms.
