Jennifer Tilly will also appear in the second season of USA Network-Syfy’s Chucky. Tilly will reprise her role as Tiffany Valentine in a remake of the movie franchise, focusing on the doll from the fan-favorite Child’s Play movie Bride of Chucky, which features a serial killer named Chucky.
The actress previously reprised the role of gothic Tiffany in the first season of the series, which followed the events of Cult of Chucky.
Set in New Jersey, the series follows fourteen-year-old Jake Wheeler, who encounters serial killer Charles Lee Ray’s plastic ship while working on an art project. The first season of the series was a success, both in the eyes of the audience and critically. After adapting the story for a remake with Child’s Play, the 2019 movie made without series creator Don Mancini, it returned to its essence with this series.
Tilly appears in the series as the voice of a doll version of Tiffany, who is also shown in flashbacks in human form. However, Tilly did not reprise her role in flashbacks. Instead, Blaise Crocker plays Valentine’s teen. Other series actors, such as Chucky’s iconic voice Brad Dourif, also returned for the television series. Dourif’s daughter, Fiona Dourif, stars as Nica Pierce, a character previously seen in Cult of Chucky. Chucky is created and executive produced by Don Mancini.
Alongside Dourif and Tilly, the series stars Zackary Arthur as Jake Wheeler and Devon Sawa as Jake’s father and uncle. Sawa himself has some pretty intense horror references, starring in Final Destination and Idle Hands. He starred in the 1995 movie of the same name as the delightfully friendly ghost Casper. The premiere date of the second season of the series has not yet been announced. However, Deadline’s article suggested a similarly eerie October release date.
