A great adventure for Malik Bentalha
Malik Bentalha began to make himself known as a comedian with a first one-man show in 2010. Then, the cinema caught his eye and we could see him appear in secondary roles in comedies. The actor has also tried his hand at dubbing since he is the voice of the famous blue hedgehog in sonic the movie. And he adds yet another string to his bow with Jack Mimoun and the secrets of Val Verdewhich he co-directed with Ludovic Colbeau-Justin.
For this premiere behind the camera, he didn’t keep things simple since with Jack Mimoun he proposes an adventure comedy. As can be seen in the trailer (in one article), the film was to take place largely in the middle of a dangerous jungle. The comic tone in no way detracts from the ambitious side of the film, which should offer a real adventure. As a reminder, here is the synopsis:
Two years after surviving alone on the hostile island of Val Verde, Jack Mimoun has become an adventure star. Alongside Malik Bentalha, we find Josephine Japy in the role of Aurélie. On their side, Jerome Commander and Francois Damiens are the comic supporting roles that should always bring more lightness to Jack Mimoun and the secrets of Val Verde. The trailer already shows the duo as we like it, with grumpy Jérôme Commandeur and François Damiens completely out of step.
Above all, Jack Mimoun and the secrets of Val Verde should pay homage to American adventure films like them Indiana Jones or In pursuit of the Green Diamondwhile approaching a less serious tone. The film will be released in theaters on October 12, 2022.
