Hz. TRT’s co-production “TAY”, about Muhammad’s emigration journey, was premiered in Istanbul.
The premiere of the TRT co-production “Tay”, which tells the story of Riyah, a purebred colt looking for his mother, on his journey to Medina with the old camel Jabal, whom he met while running away from the thieves, was held in Istanbul. TRT Deputy General Manager Muhammed Ziyad Varol, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Science Dissemination Society, Bilal Erdoğan, Sümeyye Bayraktar, Esra Albayrak, TRT Management and many guests attended the gala.
“As TRT, we strive to exist in every area where our children spend time”
Speaking at the gala, TRT Deputy General Manager Muhammed Ziyad Varol continued his words as follows:
“TRT’s many films have been released this year. The TAY movie may be one of them, but it has a very important and very basic feature that distinguishes it, that it tells the Prophet’s emigration and that difficult journey in animation. In the movie, it will be a production that we remind our children about a colt who lost his mother and is trying to search for his mother, by remembering those memories during his journey from Mecca to Medina with an old grandfather.”
“TRT should be congratulated as a public broadcaster”
Bilal Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Science Dissemination Society, said in a statement after watching the film, “It is an animation that our children will enjoy watching, but that contains deep meanings and a very important story. Here, of course, TRT, TRT Child has a great effort. We really need to congratulate TRT as a public broadcaster for the proliferation of such useful content for our children.”
Hz. The 3D animated feature film, which deals with the Hijra, one of the most important events in the life of the Prophet, aims to reinforce the concepts such as sacrifice, hope and love, especially in school-age children, and to instill the love of the prophet in children with its fairy tale-like narration.
The film is directed by Nurullah Yenihan, the producer of TRT Child’s environmentalist hero “Captain Pengu and His Friends,” written by Betül Yağsağan Birgören, and produced by Mustafa Emre Tülün. The soundtrack of the film, which is getting ready to hit the big screen with its emotional story, is signed by Burak Çambel.
Prepared with the contributions of TRT Child’s expert psychologists, child development experts and content editors, the new feature film “TAY” will meet the audience in cinemas on September 23.
