Between science fiction and intimate drama, the series “Invasion” offered another vision of the alien attack. Offered on Apple TV +, the program will continue with a season 2.
Attention, this article recalls the end of season 1. It is preferable to have seen the series in its entirety to continue reading.
Released at the end of October on Apple TV +, the series Invasion tells of an alien attack in the most realistic way possible, focusing more on humans than on aliens. Composed of 9 episodes, the program seduced enough viewers to afford a season 2. It is the third fiction renewed on the platform side, after season 3 for Truth Be Told and season 2 for Foundation.
“I am deeply grateful to Apple for being a real support throughout this adventure and for trusting us with this very human and emotional story of invasion., says creator and screenwriter Simon Kinberg. I can’t wait to continue with the plans we have for Season 2, which will expand our universe in the most intimate and epic way possible.. ”
At the end of Season 1, young Gabriel (Billy Barratt) manages to control the aliens with his mind with the goal of stopping them. Exhausted, the schoolboy collapses to the ground in front of the eyes of Ward (Shamier Anderson) who tries to revive him, in vain. The boy is still alive, but his consciousness seems trapped somewhere as he tried to make contact with the aliens. If Gabriel’s strength enabled humanity to win their first battle, others seem to be brewing.
As of yet, no official release date has been announced for Season 2.
